2022-23 SMHA AWARDS PROGRAM

As we approach the home stretch of the 2022-23 hockey season, it is time to start reflecting on all the great people that make Saskatoon Minor Hockey go so well.  There are so many people that step each season to make each minor hockey season memorable and fun for our children.  Let's go out of our way to recognize these fabulous people!

SMHA has a comprehensive awards program to recognize people in all aspects of the minor hockey season.  We are looking for our teams to take some time to nominate the superstars involved with their teams.  The main awards involve nominations to the zones and then each zone will name a zone winner who will then be put forth to SMHA as the zone nominee.

• EVAN THOMAS MEMORIAL SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD & SCHOLARSHIP (player award) PRESENTED BY AIRLINE HOTELS

• SMHA RAMPAGE COFFEE EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR AWARD

• SMHA WENDEL CLARK COMMUNITY ASSIST CUP PRESENTED BY WENDEL CLARK'S CLASSIC GRILL (U9 & U11 teams) **submitted directly to SMHA with March 15 deadline.

NOMINATION DEADLINE TO YOUR HOME ZONE IS MARCH 7, 2023

SMHA also recognizes our on-ice officials with two major awards for referees.  The winners are selected by the SMHA Referees Division Committee:

• SMHA QUINN STEVENSON MEMORIAL REFEREE OF THE YEAR AWARD PRESENTED BY AL ANDERSON'S SOURCE FOR SPORTS

• SMHA MOST DEDICATED OFFICIAL AWARD PRESENTED BY UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN HUSKIE ATHLETICS
